Capabilities

Three disciplines.
One roof. One standard.

Most shops machine. Some mold. Very few do both, bond the two together, and own every step from program to final inspection. That integration is the reason a Fifty X part shows up once, correct, and on the date we said.

CNC MACHINING

Industries

Where the standard goes,
we go.

Our tolerances were forged in one of the hardest environments on earth: the bottom of a directional well. That is the foundation, not the ceiling. The same discipline transfers cleanly to any industry where precision, traceability, and delivery are non-negotiable.

Foundation

Energy — MWD & Directional Drilling

The industry that built us and the one we know best. Specialists, not generalists. →

Growing

Aerospace & Defense

SAM-registered and JCP-certified. Delivering on DLA contracts today. Ready for the primes' supply chains.

Growing

Robotics & Automation

Precision structural and motion components for the machines we're also putting on our own floor.

Active

Industrial & Fluid Handling

Machined-and-bonded seals, sleeves, and wear components for pumps, valves, and rotating equipment.

Emerging

Geothermal & Subsurface Energy

Downhole heat and pressure know-how applied to the next generation of subsurface power.

If you run MWD or directional tools in North America, you already know what we make. New components, rubber centralizers, and the high-demand repair and fabrication work that keeps fleets turning.

We started in 2017 with a single molding press and a proprietary HNBR compound developed for downhole service. Everything since — the CNC capacity, the campus, the robotics — was built to serve this industry better, not to leave it.

Send the print, the failed part, or the field report. You will not need to translate it for us.

MWD components →

Lower-end and pulser parts, interconnects, spearpoints, pressure housings, muleshoes, and running gear. Stocked, repeat-production, and made to print.

Rubber centralizers →

New and remolded on proprietary HNBR, in more than fifty profiles, in a true range of molded-in colors. Advanced Series and HyperHeat™ platforms.

Repair & refurbishment

Runout correction, re-machining, re-bonding, and re-marking of critical downhole components with documented inspection.

Fabrication & hot jobs

When the tool is on a truck and the rig is waiting. Priority scheduling with clear commitments and live status updates.

Technology & continuous improvement

Never complacent.

"Technology" is in our name because it reflects how we operate. We invest in collaborative automation, multi-axis mill-turn equipment, advanced inspection, and the systems required to connect them. We engineer complete manufacturing processes in-house, from workholding and tooling strategy to programming, automation, and verification. The objective is simple: become faster, more repeatable, and more capable every year.

Robotic technology deployment

We deploy robotic technology directly into production to automate machine tending, maintain consistent cycle flow, and extend productive spindle hours. It is a deliberate move toward scalable automation, greater throughput, and more dependable production.

Advanced sub-spindle CNC technology

Enhanced sub-spindle machining allows components to transfer automatically between spindles and be completed on both ends in one controlled cycle. Fewer setups and handoffs mean less stacked variation, tighter process control, and finished parts coming directly off the machine.

AI-enabled manufacturing

We integrate AI into our manufacturing systems to improve production visibility, accelerate decision-making, and identify problems earlier. Our custom operational dashboard turns shop-floor data into clear priorities, measurable performance, and faster action across the business.

In-house manufacturing engineering

We engineer the entire manufacturing process, from tooling strategy and workholding to programming, inspection, and documented prove-out. This turns demanding prints into stable, repeatable production systems capable of delivering the same result from first article through full production.

Operating principle
Manufacturing will not wait for companies to catch up. At Fifty X, technology is not a side initiative. It is how we scale, compete, and lead. We are building for where the industry is going and investing now in the people, equipment, and systems required to stay ahead.

About Fifty X Technology

Built from the floor up.
Engineered for what comes next.

Fifty X Technology began in Cypress, Texas, in 2017 with one molding press and a clear objective: build critical components with greater control, stronger technical capability, and complete accountability to the customer.

That foundation expanded quickly. CNC machining came in-house in 2019, followed by federal contracting, multi-axis manufacturing, a dedicated two-building campus, robotic machine tending, enhanced sub-spindle capability, and AI-enabled production systems. What began as an elastomer operation has developed into an integrated manufacturing company spanning precision machining, engineered elastomers, fabrication, and critical component repair.

The progression has been deliberate. Every major investment has increased our control over quality, lead time, capacity, or process performance. The name Fifty X Technology represents the next phase: deeper automation, smarter manufacturing systems, broader market reach, and a company built to keep advancing.

  • 2017Founded in Cypress, Texas. Proprietary HNBR development begins, and the first molding press enters production.
  • 2019CNC machining is brought in-house, establishing integrated metal and elastomer manufacturing.
  • 2020Manufacturing capacity triples. CAGE Code 8JPP2 is secured, opening the company's federal contracting division.
  • 2022Multi-axis turning and milling capacity expands as precision machining becomes a major operating division.

The name change

New name. Same company.

Lone Star Downhole Products, LLC
Fifty X Technology, LLC
Effective September 2026
Why the change?
Our capabilities outgrew the name. Downhole is where we started and where we remain specialists; the new name reflects the full breadth of what we build and the technology-forward way we build it.
What stays the same?
Same legal entity, same ownership, same team, same campus, same tax ID, same CAGE code and SAM registration, same phone number. Your existing POs, pricing, and quality records carry over unchanged.
What do I need to update?
Vendor records and remit-to name: Fifty X Technology, LLC. Email addresses now end in @fiftyxtechnology.com; old addresses forward during the transition.
Are you leaving oil & gas?
No. MWD and directional drilling customers built this company and remain our core focus. We are adding industries, not replacing one.
