On the shelf.
On the machine.
Understood.
We manufacture and stock the mechanical components that keep MWD tools assembled, serviced, and ready to run. Lower-end and pulser parts, interconnects, pressure housings, spearpoints, muleshoe components, centralizers, running gear. We know how they fit together, and what it costs a customer when one of them isn't available.
More than a machine shop that happens to make MWD parts.
An MWD tool contains dozens of mechanical components that have to work together downhole. Some are large and obvious. Others are small internal pieces that shut down the whole tool when they are worn, damaged, or on backorder.
Most of them are not one-off inventions. The industry has settled on established part families around common tool configurations, and those families get replaced constantly as tools are built, repaired, and returned to service. That makes availability as important as capability. We are structured for both.
Repeat parts run like repeat parts.
Programs, tooling, fixturing, inspection plans, and setup sheets stay on file for every component we have made. When your reorder comes in, it goes to the machine, not back to engineering. That is what lets common families sit on the shelf, and what keeps your variation in material, connection, port, or length from turning into a project.
Find the family. Confirm the variation. Keep the tool moving.
This page is not a claim that every part fits every tool. It exists so you can identify the component family you need and start a technical conversation without explaining the whole assembly from scratch. We work from a part number, a customer print, a prior order, a physical sample, a photo, a marked-up drawing, or a description of where the part lives. When the exact configuration is unclear, we pin down the critical details before anything reaches the machine.
Flow control, pulse generation, actuation, alignment, wear.
Mechanical components supporting everything the lower-end assembly has to do, machined in the non-magnetic and high-strength alloys the application calls for, held to prints that leave no room for interpretation.

Connect, support, isolate, protect.
The components that carry battery and electronics sections through the assembly and keep them isolated from what the hole is doing. Machined, molded, and bonded here, which is why we can build and deliver the complete assembly, not just the pieces.

New manufacturing.
Precision recuts.
We manufacture new MWD pressure housings and barrels in common, legacy, and customer-specific configurations, and we recut worn or damaged housings to restore critical connections and put otherwise usable components back in service.

New pressure housings
Gamma, battery, directional-module and electronics, pulser-driver, and other housings to customer drawings. Our machining is built for exactly this part: long, thin-wall components with deep bores, demanding runout requirements, tight-tolerance connections, and critical sealing geometry.
Pressure housing recuts
When threads, shoulders, or sealing surfaces are damaged, the whole housing may not need replacing. Send the housing with the applicable drawing and the finished length you need. The damaged section is removed, the complete connection is re-machined to your drawing, critical dimensions are verified, and the housing is permanently re-marked with its updated information.
- Single-end and double-end recuts
- Removal of worn or damaged connections
- Thread, shoulder, seal, and O-ring feature restoration
- Finished-length and dimensional verification
- Concentricity and runout inspection
- Permanent re-marking and documented final inspection
Recut or replace: your call, our quote. Send the housing count, drawing, and required finished length and we will quote the recut and a new housing side by side.

Sleeves rebuilt to print.
We manufacture new muleshoe components in common medium and large configurations and restore worn assemblies through a controlled repair and rebuild process.

The welds customers ask about.
Three repair zones on a muleshoe sleeve: the top threads, the bore, and the bottom face. Every one is fully fused, cleaned to parent metal, and re-machined to the applicable dimensions. Nothing is ground to hide anything. Customers who have run tools for twenty years tell us they have not seen sleeves come back like this, and we intend to keep it that way.

Why the sleeve matters
The muleshoe sleeve supports and seats the MWD probe, establishes its orientation within the UBHO, and carries critical flow and retention components. Wear, washout, damaged seating surfaces, distorted features, and inconsistent prior repairs all affect alignment, sealing, and tool reliability.
Repair and rebuild
Every repair starts with an incoming evaluation of the complete assembly. Depending on condition, the sleeve is disassembled, straightened, welded, re-machined, fitted with replacement components, and restored to the applicable dimensional requirements. Critical profiles, sealing surfaces, alignment features, retention areas, and repaired sections are inspected before release.
- Incoming evaluation and documented inspection
- Precision welding and dimensional restoration
- Repair of worn, washed, or damaged features
- Replacement of wear cuffs, keys, retainers, and related parts
- Re-machining of sealing, seating, and alignment surfaces
- Final dimensional verification and permanent identification

New components. Stocked parts. Repairs.
Under one roof.
A common component from inventory, a proprietary part to print, a new pressure housing, or a critical assembly restored: the machining, fabrication, welding, inspection, and repair all happen here. Send the part number, drawing, quantity, or repair details and we will confirm inventory, manufacturing capability, or repair feasibility.
